This page is currently under construction
The pictures and descriptions below are the colors and patterns of kittens we produce. Hopefully this helps you better understand the colors and patterns Maine Coon Cats come in, as well as decide what you color and/or pattern you would like for your kitten.
Solids
Solid colored Maine Coons are just that...solid. There are not any other colors present in their coat, and they do not have a tabby pattern.
Smokes
Smoke is considered a pattern. It is a white undercoat with a solid color on top. There are different degrees of smoke as well...high smoke, standard smoke, and low smoke.
Tabbies
Tabbies are a solid colored cat with a tabby pattern. Tabby patterns can be classic, mackerel, spotted, or ticked. It often looks like the tabby pattern is a light brown or cream color, but are classified by their base color, which will be one of the solid colors listed above.
Silver Tabbies
Silver tabbies are simply a smoke with a tabby pattern. You could also say they are a tabby with a white undercoat. Silver tabbies do not have a light brown or cream color to their tabby pattern. They are simply a solid color with a white tabby pattern and undercoat. As with smokes, there are different degrees of silver...high, standard, and low.
With White & Bi-Colors
With white and bi-colors are a solid cat, but parts of their coat is white...almost like patches. With whites generally just have white on their belly, paws, and face. Bi-colors have a larger amount of white...almost 50% of their body is a solid color and the other 50% is white. We do not produce bi-colors, only with whites.
