What is the difference between personality and temperament in cats?Personality is "what a cat does". This changes depending on age, circumstances, and environment. A cat's personality would be something like being a lap cat, being super playful, loving to go places or meet new people. Temperament is "what a cat is". This is engrained in the cat from birth and will not change. A cat's temperament would be laidback, skittish, talkative, scared, bold or adventurous.

How can I be sure you aren't a scam or backyard breeder?First of all, just look at our website and you will find proof that we are not a scam or backyard breeder. Scammers or backyard "breeders" are not going to put this much time and effort into a website! But, scams are something to be very aware of and concerned about. There are a ton of scams out there that seem very convincing, and it is all too easy to get caught in their trap. Being careful you are not buying from a backyard breeder is also very important as that could cost you thousands in vet bills and ultimately end in heartbreak all too quickly. You can click the button below to learn about some of the warning signs to look for, as well as questions to ask a breeder, including us. We do all we can to make sure you do not have any fears about working with us. We are more than willing to set up a phone call or video chat so we can talk in person and you can see our cats and kittens. We also accept payments through Camlist to provide extra security to our buyers.

What is the difference between a color and pattern in a Maine Coon? The color of a Maine Coon is just that...the color you see. Other than a tortie (which are black and red or blue and cream), cats are just one color. The pattern is what brings in other colors to the look of the cat. Tabby and smoke are both patterns a Maine Coon can have. Tabby cats can have one of several different tabby patterns and bring white or a light brown color to the cat's coat. Smoke is a white undercoat that grows in and give the cat a "smokey" appearance.
-
How big are your kittens when full grown?Guaranteeing the size of a kitten is not something we are able to do. All we can tell you is how big our graduates have been. Generally, our females get to 10-13lbs and our males get to 16-18bs when fully grown. A decent number of our male kittens have grown to 20lbs+, but that is the acceptation, not the rule. To find out more about growth, please click the link below. There are several areas on this page that talk about growth.
